Before becoming a business journalist and moderator, I worked in financial services in the UK and Switzerland. I started my career at Bank of New York Mellon in London, prior to the financial crisis of 2007/2008.

The global crash was a catalyst for technological advancement in all areas of banking. After the crisis, I joined FNZ, a fintech specialized in building platforms to support wealth managers. I experienced first-hand technology disrupting the wealth management business, bringing about disintermediation and democratization to the industry.

I later completed a postgraduate diploma at the London School of Journalism, enabling me to combine my financial markets knowledge with my writing skills at Bloomberg News.

At Bloomberg, I initially wrote about pharmaceutical and biotech firms, adding Swiss industrial companies to my equities coverage later on.

More recently at Finews, a prominent online news site dedicated to the financial sector, I covered the financial industry from a Swiss perspective.

Notable events during this time include the collapse of Switzerland's second-largest bank Credit Suisse, the country's burgeoning crypto industry, as well as its transformative journey to becoming an international hub for sustainable finance.

Complementing my financial acumen, I hold a master's degree in philosophy, French & Spanish literature from the University of Freiburg, Germany.

I have moderated events and panels focusing on:

  • Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) themes

  • Fintechs

  • Open Finance

  • The Great Wealth Transfer

  • Gen Z

  • Blockchain and digital assets

  • Longevity

I look forward to hearing about the subjects at the forefront of your agenda.
